About GETC

GETC is a South African organisation established in 2013 by Royal Chiefs and Traditional Leaders, focused on empowering people, preserving heritage and building sustainable communities. Our work promotes education, practical skills, entrepreneurship, economic development and community upliftment, guided by our six core philosophies.

Our story

Created to serve people and strengthen communities.

GETC was established in 2013 by Royal Chiefs (Ubukhosi) and Traditional Leaders of South Africa.

The organisation aims to help address unemployment and poverty by upskilling people between the ages of 18 and 65 so they can become sustainable entrepreneurs, educated and skilled citizens, and more employable members of society.

GETC identified a need for more technical competency in education. Its aim is to connect theory with practical skills that can improve employability, support sustainable businesses and contribute to economic growth.
